Dr. Eric Greenman Psychiatry, Scottsdale Arizona

Dr. Greenman is a Board Certified Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist located in Scottsdale, Arizona. He received his Medical Degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin. As an intern he completed a year of Child Neurology and Endocrinology. He went on to complete his Residency in Adult Psychiatry and Neurology in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He then completed his Fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin through the Division of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr. Greenman has practiced psychiatry in Scottsdale / Phoenix area since 1995. He is currently a private practice Scottsdale psychiatrist. In addition to his private clinic, Dr Greenman is on staff at Scottsdale Healthcare where he serves the psychiatry consultation liaison service. He previously served as Medical Director of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Residential Unit for Charter Hospital. During his residency, he served as Medical Officer on Duty and later Staff Psychiatrist.

Dr. Greenman has spoken around the country, training other physicians in the latest psychopharmacology. In addition, he is active in Continuing Medical Education (CME) attending seminars and conferences, keeping up with the latest in mental health care.

In the practice of psychiatry and medicine, Dr. Greenman has developed a clinical practice that serves children, adolescents, and adults utilizing compassionate, scientifically valid treatments (such as medications) to alleviate the symptoms and resulting problems that cause human suffering, and to promote a patient’s capacity for sustained happiness in their lives and families.

Practice Approach

Dr. Greenman specializes in psychopharmacology (expertise in medications used to treat mental health disorders). He has extensive experience in treating Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in children, adolescents, and adults. Other areas of specialization include women’s depression and anxiety disorders, encompassing women’s hormonal imbalance, and endocrine dysregulation. Each patient’s needs are addressed with a medical regimen that is formulated for their treatment and recovery.

Dr. Greenman is also trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, and has a number of patients which undergo this modality of treatment on a weekly basis. This dual approach of combining medication and psychotherapy has been shown in medical literature to produce more favorable results than a single mode of therapy.

In 2005 and 2007 Dr. Greenman was listed in “America’s Top Psychiatrists” by the Consumers’ Research Council of America.
In May of 2012 he was awarded Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association at its 165th Annual meeting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
